Whispers of the Heart
Today's the day Tree Hugger comes over to spend time with me, and I can hardly contain my excitement. It’s a beautiful spring morning, the kind where the sun casts a golden glow across the sky, turning everything it touches into a warm, inviting canvas of light and color. I hum a tune as I move around my cottage, preparing for our day together. There's a special kind of peace in the air, one that only a perfect spring day can bring. Okay, Angel," I say as I place a plate of specially made carrots down for my little rabbit friend, "I'm spending the day with my friend, and I need you to be good." He looks at me, a bit annoyed but hungry, and nods before taking the carrots off the plate. After making sure all my other animal friends are tended to, I pick up the picnic basket I prepared the night before. It's filled with all sorts of treats, not just for the animals, but for Tree Hugger and me as well. I can't help but smile, thinking about the serene spot in the forest I've chosen
