Alright, I've been meaning to get to this for a while, but it needs to be said. I've seen a lot of Rule 63 (AKA Genderbent) MLP: FiM shipping pics or fics being submitted here. I originally said to put them in Crack Pairings, but it's time to change it. Any pics with the R63 characters are considered by me to be OC ponies. As such, please start placing them in the OC folders. I'll give some examples.

Bubble Berry (R63 Pinkie Pie) X Twilight Sparkle goes in OC Ponies with Cannon Ponies Hetero

Elusive (R63 Rarity) X Rainbow Blitz (R63 Rainbow Dash) goes in OC Ponies with other OC Ponies Yaoi

Prince Artemis (R63 Princess Luna) X Macareina (R63 Big Macintosh) goes in OC Ponies with other OC Ponies Hetero

The list goes on.

So in the future, please start to place those kind of pictures or fics involving the R63 characters in the right folders. Any questions or comments, please contact me or send me a note. Thank you all.

I do understand what you mean, but I think I can agree more with what some of the others are saying about having a folder for R63 stuff. Just a bit of personal preference, my brothers, some of my friends, and myself share the opinion that genderbent characters aren't exactly OCish. They are fan-based, but they're based off of the original characters where at least 80% of the original's personalities are adapted and applied to the character. I guess it just doesn't come off as 'original' if all you're changing is the gender, and the body-type and personality to accommodate the story-line that the character has been the opposite gender the whole time.

Well anyway, whatever, you're the group's founder and boss so unless you decide to change your mind and make a new decision, I'll roll with it and put my R63 stuff in there.

I can see your reasoning, but personally I still think that a Rule 63 folder would be a far better way to organise it, especially considering the genderswapped versions of the mane 6 have their own established fanon now. Everyone writing fanfiction or creating art feature them give them the same names, so they're like universal OC's. Would also make finding reference pics or literature involving Rule 63 characters so much easier if you didn't have to dig through countless colour uncorordinated recolours of original characters.
Perhaps put it up for a vote? I'm pretty sure you'd get a majority response for a rule 63 folder if you did.

Maybe I'll do that.

I hate to bust your bubble, but Rule63 characters aren't Original Characters. They are the mane6 but with Penises (Excuse my wording, but that's what it boils down to)

The issue is what happens if I want to ship Scarlet Heart and Noire? (An OC belonging to me and a friend of mine respective) It's Gonna get drowned out by R63 B.Mac and R63 Caramel

What about White Zero (REAL OC) and Gilda? Gonna get drowned out by R63 Pinkie and normal Twilight.

All the REAL original character stuff is gonna get drowned out by Rule63 because you don't want to make an R63 folder.

I understand your positioning on this, but really the R63 ponies ARE pretty much OC's. They aren't canonical in the show unless there's an episode about one of the R63 characters. Besides even if I did to a Rul 63 folder, I would need to kind of divide it into sub categories like R63 X R63 and so on.

Given that almost all Rule63 is yoai (or how ever you spell it) I wouldn't worry about it.

And technically you're right, but it's an issue of fairness. I've spent nearly a year developing my OCs, mulling over their back-stories and giving them loveable personalities. Why should -I- have to compete against some git who drew Twilight Sparkle with a masculine jaw-line and claimed to have been his creator.

The other part is when I click on the OC folder I want to see ponysonas of people, because I think Ponysonas are beautiful. They are a window to the soul in it's clearest form. R63 on the other hand is just someone who can't accept that Twilight is a girl.

I mean I know where you're coming from. I got lazy with :icondiamond-tiara-lovers: and it pretty much died because I wasn't adding to it (I had it so only I could add to the group), then I decided to unlock the restrictions so other people could add to it, but I was too lazy to do that either. But the difference is, my group is crap and your group isn't.

It's not really a matter of competition from my viewpoint. I mean maybe I WILL do some sort of R63 folder, but I'll have to think it over.

Rule63'd ponies are fancreated, so they are original characters.

(Obviously I will accept because you know, you own the group so you're the boss and such) but I don't understand how r63'in ponies make them original characters... They are colt versions of the canon ponies...? (I'm not mad, I'm just curious. I never thought of them being ocs. xD)

Well now I know where to put this one picture...

Unless there's an episode involving the R63 ponies, then I consider them to be OC's.
